“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” – Galatians 6:9
Easier said than done. Right?
Why would Paul tell us not to grow weary while doing good? There’s the fact that life is just hard. Things are not easy and anything that’s worth something in this life usually takes hard work to get it. Growing weary is a very real thing. Also, it’s easy to get tired of doing the right things when everyone around you is not. There “seems” to be no consequences for those individuals and they seem to get what they want. “Seems” is the key word.
We don’t always see the reward for our actions immediately. It happens, but rarely. Many times it takes time for the seed we’ve planted to grow and produce fruit. Just because we haven’t seen the fruits of our reward doesn’t mean it’s not coming!
“So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.” – Hebrews 10:35-36
Just because we haven’t seen the desires of our heart come to pass, just because we haven’t seen Him come through, doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen! We have a need for ENDURANCE.
This is a word we don’t talk about very often anymore. It means to keep pressing forward. Keep pressing into God with your trust in His promise that He hasn’t forgotten you. He doesn’t forget! He sees you.
Don’t cast away your confidence in the Lord and in His word because you are about to receive His promise! That’s a guarantee because His promises never fail!
Do NOT grow weary! Your answers and good things are coming!
